This preceding photo highlights the completed creation of the kitchen. The space is now completely open. The combination cabinet colors included white and a smokey azurite island with quartz countertops. The support beam was made from cypress.
We share these next images to appreciate the environment before Zitro arrived. The angle of the first photo shows one of the two walls which were removed to open the kitchen up for an open floor plan concept. The second image shows how the original kitchen was a galley with the wall to the right in that photo being removed as part of the expansion. The third image shows the angle of the original kitchen sink area.
This next angle is from the front living room and is a perfect shot to capture the new open floor plan. The new cypress support beam can be seen in the distance through the cased opening.
We worked on the entire house from the exterior to the interior. Heading outside, we show the original back of the house where we then remodeled to include the large patio door, a new concrete patio slab and a set of old foster brick steps.
Here we show the front of the home before and after the renovation.
The original home was built using shiplap on all of the walls which at one time was covered with wallpaper. This was common in 1930’s construction. The upper boards were removed around the perimeter of the home to fill the wall cavities with fiberglass insulation as part of the project.
The remodeled bathroom was finished using a combination of dark blue wall paint, white and blue sunburst 8×8 tile flooring and white quartz countertops. The shower was completed using wavy white porcelain tile and dark blue glass tile to accent the surround.
A unique part of this project is the laundry was remodeled to include a new half bath. Notice the back wall which was dressed with a large format porcelain tile.
It is easy to see our clients enjoying the whole home renovation and remodeling project. We leave you with another image of the kitchen with the backsplash completed using a mixed 3×6 blue subway tile. The island was dressed up using LED pendants with decorative shades.
