This preceding photo highlights the new showcase windows in the remodeled front porch which new serves as a laundry room and personal wardrobe.
We share these next images to appreciate the environment before Zitro arrived. The entrance was bland, the kitchen was small and dated, and the master bathroom was unappealing.
And just a little more to show how this home was desperate for a rejuvenation.
The kitchen area had considerable water damaged from a slow leak near the sink. This was remodeled as part of the work.
New Advantech subflooring was installed once the floor frame was completed.
Unfortunately there was a lot of damage from termites on the main sill. The new treated sills were installed and flashed for future protection.
Every room of this home remodel is simply awesome, especially knowing how dated and damaged the home was. This is where the original front porch was remodeled to be a personal wardrobe closet which includes a stackable washer and dryer. The folding counter was finished off with a Britannica Gold Cambria Quartz.
We worked on the entire interior of the house. The cased openings between the front den and dining area were reframed to open the space up a bit. The ceilings were all covered with a beaded trim. The new and existing oak flooring was all sanding and completed using a natural polyurethane finish.
The kitchen entry was expanded to be more of an open floor plan. The custom cabinets were painted with a bright white and Dovetail gray enamel A white and gray quartz was used for the counters and the range area backsplash.
The bathroom remodel was completed using 28th St. bright white wall tile in the tub and shower. The vanity area includes and mirrored medicine cabinet and sconces lighting. a Brown Fantasy granite was used for all countertops. This angle of the main bedroom shows the oak flooring, black showcase windows and the entry into the new wardrobe. The wall color is Mindful gray.
The back of the home was completed by reconstructing the rear deck and installing a combination of Trex and Veranda composite deck and railing system. A before to after comparison shows it all.
It is easy to see our clients enjoying their newly remodeled home in Baton Rouge. The project included the addition of a new electrical service to accommodate the new circuits in the home. The double entry gate was sandblasted and powder coated as part of the job.
